Additionally black males are 2.5 times more likely to die from the disease than white males. There is a one in three chance of an African American male developing prostate cancer if one change state relative has the disease. The risk is 83% with two relatives and 97% with three relatives. Early detection is key. After five years of diagnosis nearly 100% of African American males with the disease are still alive. Every man age 40 or older should be screened annually."Prostate cancer is eliminating black fathers uncles brothers cousins and friends.
